Realm events
The scheduler, the twelve kinds with their odds by season, the hosts they put on the map, and every number they run on.
Times are game time at world speed 1. On a faster world divide them by its speed.
| Rule | Value |
|---|---|
| The scheduler rolls | every 6 game hours |
| Chance a roll starts an event | 40%, times the realmEventOdds tuning value (1 by default) |
| Most events at once | 3 |
| Finished events stay listed | 72 game hours |
| Gift worth per Renown | 20 gold worth |
Kinds
Odds are relative weights within a season. The share columns are each kind's chance per roll when every kind has somewhere to happen and none is running: the roll chance times the kind's weight over the season's total.

What each does
| Event | What happens | Taking part | Reward |
|---|---|---|---|
| Warlord's host | A warlord camps beside a capital with a tier III host and storms it once the siege is ready, 12 hours after it arrives. | Attack the camp with armies or a levy, or post troops in the capital so its garrison holds. | The camp's hoard and 600 Renown, split by damage dealt. If the garrison holds, its lords share 300 Renown by what they had standing. |
| Raider landing | Raiders come ashore on the land's coast and march on its capitals one after another, sacking any whose garrison falls. | Fight them on the road with armies or a levy, and garrison the capitals in their path. | Their hoard, plus anything they sacked, and 250 Renown by damage. Holders who keep their capital get +20% village tax for a week. |
| Invasion from beyond | Three tier IV hosts march in from the edges of the map, each on the nearest capitals, sacking every one whose garrison falls. | Anyone may hit any host, alone or in a levy. Garrison the capitals in their path. | Each host's hoard and 1,500 Renown by damage. The three lords with most damage over all hosts are named Defenders of the Realm and get an epic, a rare and a rare card. |
| Plague | Sickness in the territory: -6 popularity in its villages and peasants arrive 30% slower. | Pay alms at the capital in gold or food. Every 1,000 gold worth shortens the plague by an hour. | Donors share 1 Renown per 20 gold worth given, by share, and get +3 popularity in their villages for a week. |
| Famine | Farm output in the land is 40% lower. | Send food to the capitals' granaries. The famine ends once 1,500 gold worth per territory has been sent. | Donors share 1 Renown per 20 gold worth given, by share, and their villages make 10% more food for a week. |
| Peasant revolt | Rebels hold the capital: no village tax is paid and the market is shut. | Beat the rebel band with armies or a levy, or the holder's Steward pays them off from the treasury. | The holder keeps the capital; fighters split the rebels' takings and 150 Renown by damage. Left alone, the rebels go home with 15% of the holder's treasury. |
| Tournament | A three-day list at one of the land's capitals. Entries close after two days; the bracket is fought by the battle sim when the list ends. | Enter one champion soldier from a village and a purse of 200 gold. | The pot goes 50/30/20% to the top three, with 300, 150 and 75 Renown and an epic, rare and uncommon card. Champions come home. |
| The Black Knight | A lone knight with a tier III retinue rides from territory to territory, moving on every 8 hours. | Scout him where he camps and attack, alone or in a levy. | His purse and 800 Renown by damage; the lord who dealt most damage gets a rare card. |
| Relic procession | Pilgrims carry a relic from capital to capital across the land. | Escort it with troops from a village, or raid it with an army for its treasure. | If it arrives, escorts share 400 Renown by the worth of their troops and the land's holder gets +4 popularity for 3 days. Raiders split its treasure but each loses 150 Renown. |
| Bountiful harvest | Farm output in the land is 30% higher. | Nothing to do but reap. | - |
| Comet | A comet hangs over the realm. Scholars are inspired: research started while it shines runs 10% faster. | Start research while it lasts. | - |
| Royal tithe | The crown asks its kingdom for goods within 48 hours: 1,500 gold worth per lord in the kingdom, at least 3,000. | Members send gold or goods to any capital of the kingdom. | Givers share 1 Renown per 20 gold worth, by share. If the tithe is met, the kingdom's treasury is paid half its worth in gold. |
